Cancer complicates about 1 in 2000 pregnancies, and
the frequency has been rising in recent years.1 Delay in
first childbearing contributes significantly to a rise in
this incidence. Cancer survivors are rapidly increasing
in number due to earlier cancer diagnosis, aging of
society and improvements in cancer treatments. In
recent decades, there have been fewer miscarriages
and premature births thus improving the obstetric
outcome. Often, pregnancy after cancer treatment
is safe for both the mother and baby. Here, in this
review article, we discuss about the different facets of
care of the pregnant lady who has undergone cancer
treatment.
